  • The recommended dosage of Cialis that a patient should start with for use when needed is 10 mg, taken from 30 minutes to 1 hour before anticipated sexual activity.
  • Depending on personal effectiveness and tolerability, the dose can be decreased to 5 mg or increased to 20 mg. Do not take Cialis more than once a day.
  • Cialis taken when needed has proved to enhance erectile function for up to 36 hours after the taken dose in comparison with placebo.

Cialis for Once Daily Use

  • The recommended beginner dose of Cialis for once daily use is 2.5 mg. It is advised to take one tablet everyday at the same time, regardless to timing of sexual performance.
  • Based on individual efficacy and tolerability, doctor can increase patient’s dose of Cialis for once daily use to 5 mg .

Use of Cialis with Food

Cialis can be taken with or without food, before or after meal.

Precautions

Safety and effectiveness have not been established in pediatric patients (less than 18 years of age). Cialis is not approved for use in women and has not been evaluated in women who are breastfeeding.
